The GRUNDOMAT 100 PK is the compact version of the 100P — a shorter, lighter 4 in. pneumatic piercing tool for tight entry pits and confined launch spots, built for trenchless installation of pipes, cables, conduit, and utility lines. Powered by compressed air, this cylindrical air-hammer drives through the ground to create a clean underground bore without open-cut trenching.

What contractors use it for: boring under a driveway, sidewalk, road, or parking lot to install water service lines, electrical conduit, gas lines, irrigation and sprinkler lines, and fiber optic drops — no trench, no cut concrete, no landscaping repair. A typical residential driveway crossing takes minutes of boring time with a 43 CFM compressor.

As a pneumatic mole, the GRUNDOMAT 100 PK performs well in displaceable soils such as sand, loam, and gravel, including soil conditions with fracturable rocks. It is not designed for solid rock or unfracturable rocks, and very soft soils may affect accuracy because the tool’s own weight can cause deviation.
