Underground Piercing Tool Warranty

UCG Underground Supplies LLC, as a distributor for Footage Tools Inc., warrants pneumatic piercing tools to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for three years from the delivery date, with the exception of the U310 model, which has a one-year warranty. The warranty covers the replacement of defective parts (including return shipping) but excludes labor costs for repairs or replacements. All warranty decisions are made by Footage Tools Inc. UCG Underground Supplies LLC cannot proceed with any warranty claims without written approval from Footage Tools Inc., the manufacturer of the tools.
This warranty is applicable solely to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
Warranty Details
1. Duration
  • Three years from the date of delivery with the exception of the U310 model, which has a one-year warranty.
2. What’s Covered
  • Defects in materials and workmanship for internal parts.
  • Ground return shipping after the tool has been repaired.
3. What’s Not Covered
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Misuse, negligence, or improper operation.
  • Unauthorized third-party repairs or alterations.
  • Damage caused by operating outside recommended specifications.
Customer Responsibilities
  • Retain defective parts for inspection by UCG Underground Supplies LLC, Footage Tools Inc., or an authorized repair center.
  • Cover shipping costs to UCG Underground Supplies LLC, Footage Tools Inc., or an authorized repair center.
  • Pay labor costs for repairs ($154/hour shop rate).
Limitation of Liability
  • UCG Underground Supplies LLC and Footage Tools Inc. are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to:
    • Revenue or profit loss.
    • Downtime.
    • Property or utility damage.
  • The warranty covers parts only; there are no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Legal and Governing Jurisdiction
1. Footage Tools Inc.
  • All legal matters concerning Footage Tools Inc. will be governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and disputes will be subject to the courts in Concord, Ontario.
2. UCG Underground Supplies LLC
  • All legal matters involving UCG Underground Supplies LLC will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Pinellas County, Florida.
