Sell Subsite TKQ Locator for Cash

UCG buys used Subsite TKQ locators and complete TKQ guidance systems. The TKQ is an HDD tracker that locates a beacon inside the drill head. It is not a utility locator.

The TKQ receives beacon signals at 1.5, 12, 20, and 29 kHz. The standard TK receives only 29 kHz, while the TKD receives 12 and 29 kHz. Check the exact model on the label before submitting your locator.

We buy the TKQ locator by itself or with available components, including:

  • TXQ or TXQG four-frequency beacon
  • Other compatible Subsite beacon
  • TD in-dash or TDR remote display
  • Tracker stand
  • DrillLok or Tracker Control accessories
  • Carrying case

For an initial evaluation, send us:

  • Photos of the front, back, and sides of the locator
  • A photo of the model and serial number
  • A photo of the powered-on screen
  • A photo of the System About screen
  • Photos of both battery compartments, battery caps, and contacts
  • Photos and model numbers of included beacons and displays
  • A list of included accessories
  • A description of known faults

The TKQ uses four C-cell alkaline or rechargeable NiMH batteries. If possible, check that the locator powers on, the screen and backlight work, all four buttons respond, and the menus open.

If you have a compatible beacon, test every available frequency separately. Confirm that the TKQ receives the beacon signal and displays pitch, roll, temperature, and battery status. If you include a TXQ or TXQG beacon, check whether the locator can change its frequency and power settings. If you include a TD or TDR display, confirm that it receives telemetry from the locator. Mark any frequency or function that you cannot test as untested.

Report a frequency that does not work, failed beacon programming, unstable readings, failed communication with the remote display, a cracked housing or screen, faulty buttons, damaged or missing battery caps, corroded battery contacts, a damaged bubble level, or unexpected restarts.

The offer depends on the condition of all four frequency channels, beacon-programming function, software version, screen and housing, remote-display communication, and included components. We also buy incomplete, untested, and non-working TKQ locators. You do not need to repair the unit. Remove all C-cell batteries before shipment.
