The TK RECON 4 uses four C-cell alkaline or rechargeable NiMH batteries or one Inspired Energy NB2038 lithium-ion battery. If possible, check that the tracker powers on, the screen and backlight work, all four buttons respond, the speaker works, and the menus open.

Test the 1.5, 12, 20, and 29 kHz frequencies separately with compatible beacons. Confirm that the tracker receives each signal and displays pitch, roll, temperature, battery status, and depth. Selecting a frequency in the menu does not confirm that the receiving channel works.

If you include a configurable T Series beacon, check whether the tracker can program its frequency and power modes. Open the Bore Path Analyzer and report whether it completes a frequency scan. If you include a remote display or repeater, confirm that it communicates with the tracker. Mark any frequency or function that you cannot test as untested.

Report a frequency that does not work, failed beacon programming, an Analyzer error, unstable readings, failed remote-display communication, Bluetooth problems, a cracked housing or screen, faulty buttons, damaged battery parts, corroded contacts, a damaged bubble level, or unexpected restarts.

The offer depends on the condition of all four frequency channels, beacon-programming and Analyzer functions, software version, telemetry and Bluetooth functions, screen and housing condition, battery condition, and included components.
