Sell Subsite TK Recon 1 Locator for Cash

UCG buys used Subsite TK RECON 1 locators and complete guidance systems. The TK RECON 1 is an HDD tracker that locates a beacon inside the drill head. It is not a utility locator.

The TK RECON 1 receives 29 kHz beacon signals only. The RECON 2 also supports 12 kHz, while the RECON 4 supports four frequencies. Check the exact model on the label or System About screen before submitting your locator.

We buy the TK RECON 1 by itself or with available components, including:

  • Compatible 29 kHz T, TX, 86B, or 88B Series beacon
  • TD RECON, TDR RECON, or Commander 7 display
  • Lithium-ion battery and charger
  • C-cell battery tray
  • Swivel stand
  • TK RECON repeater
  • Carrying case

For an initial evaluation, send us:

  • Photos of the front, back, and sides of the tracker
  • A photo of the model and serial number
  • A photo of the powered-on screen
  • A photo of the System About screen
  • Photos of the battery compartment, battery tray, cap, and contacts
  • Photos and model numbers of included beacons and displays
  • Photos of the battery, charger, stand, repeater, and case
  • A description of known faults

The TK RECON 1 uses four C-cell alkaline or rechargeable NiMH batteries or one compatible lithium-ion battery. If possible, check that the tracker powers on, the screen and backlight work, all four buttons respond, the speaker works, and the menus open.

With a compatible 29 kHz beacon, confirm that the tracker receives the signal and displays pitch, roll, temperature, battery status, and depth. If you include a remote display or repeater, confirm that it communicates with the tracker. If you previously used Bluetooth or TSR Mobile, state whether the tracker still connects and transfers bore logs. Mark any function that you cannot test as untested.

Report failed 29 kHz reception, unstable readings, failed remote-display communication, Bluetooth problems, a cracked housing or screen, faulty buttons, damaged battery parts, corroded contacts, a damaged bubble level, or unexpected restarts.

The offer depends on 29 kHz beacon reception, software version, telemetry and Bluetooth functions, screen and housing condition, battery condition, and included components. We also buy incomplete, untested, and non-working TK RECON 1 locators. You do not need to repair the unit. Remove all batteries before shipment.
